Metal detectors are used in a wide range of industries, and products in different industries have different requirements for testing. Especially in the food industry, there are many types of products. So, how to choose the right food metal detector for the food industry?

Product effects are an important factor affecting the detection accuracy of food metal detectors. Different products have different product effects. There are many sub-categories in the food industry. In terms of product status, there are generally two types of dry products and wet products:

1. Dry products

The dry product does not contain water and is easier to detect. When selecting equipment varieties, conventional products can be used. Select the corresponding machine type according to the shape of the product. Generally, foods that are packaged in small bags, such as bread, biscuits, and candies, can choose conveyor metal detectors for use with assembly lines. Placed at the very end of the production process, and enter the warehouse directly after passing the inspection. For dry granular and powdered products, you need to choose a drop-type metal detector to sort cooperative and unqualified products through an automatic separation device. The drop-type metal detector has a small opening, and the detection sensitivity is higher than that of the conveying type.

2. Wet products

Compared with dry products, wet products are more difficult to detect. One of the characteristics of moisture and water in wet products is conductivity. Analyzing the wet products in packaging, there will be problems with salt and sugar. These factors will affect the detection, which we call "product effect". So if you are producing wet products, you should choose a machine with a waterproof body and strong anti-interference performance when choosing a food metal detector.

However, there is another category of wet products that are pure liquid, paste and paste products. Then this type of product should choose a pipeline metal detector, using a pump to provide pressure to push the product to pass the inspection. For pure liquid products, the pressure parameters of the pump should be set when testing, because the over-inspection speed should be consistent with the reaction time of the detection probe. If bubbles are formed in the products of pasty and pasty products, it is difficult for the detector to distinguish, and false alarms are likely to occur.

The above is to introduce by separating dry products from wet products, and there are also some common features. For example: temperature, testing environment, etc., So, how to reduce these product effects? You must choose a machine suitable for your use and understand how to correctly avoid product effects.
